Tim - "Back in 2021 I was honoured to win Commercial Photographer of the Year at the British Photography Awards in London. I am very happy, and a little surprised to say that I have had work shortlisted in commercial photography for 2023 in the British Photography Awards again. In fact unbelievably I have 2 pieces of client work actually shortlisted, one automotive piece of work and one aviation based.

The charity that I support through these awards is 'Help For Heroes' and all the amazing work that they do through out the year for so many people.

Location
Farnborough Airport - TAG

Gear
Nikon D5 with 70-200mm at 70mm- Shoot handheld at 1/500th Sec at f10

Description
One of a series of shots that were completed for my client TAG Aviation to be used in new corporate literature and on web to promote their aviation services and private jet charter services globally. I was looking for something that was a little abstract in its nature, clearly aviation driven and afforded me a lot of dead space to the left for corporate text and branding. I used the engine of this Bombardier aircraft outside the hanger sat in the sunlight, adjusting my shoot position to make the most of the light and without any other added lighting being used, a simple shot by all accounts. The client was very happy with all the 160 shots completed over the 2-day period but this was their favorite and it is I think also one of mine for its simplicity.
