Morgan Launch new Roadster Sport at Geneva

This week saw the start of the prestigious and World renowned Geneva Motor Show. The show is the 80th International Motor Show from Geneva and is an international exhibition of the finest new automobiles. A vast array of car brands and new models are on show each year, many including concept cars and prototypes. This year we were very pleased to support Morgan in their launch of the new Sports Roadster and 4/4 Sports.

Victor Magazine Interview - Hamburg

This week saw photographer Tim Wallace fly out to Hamburg as a guest of the World famous Victor magazine.
Tim was in Germany for two days to be interviewed by the magazine as he has been selected to be profiled for his work and creativity in the field of automotive photography. Classics Monthly Triumph GT6 feature.
Tim does a great deal of magazine work for various motoring magazines in the UK and Europe however from time to time we shoot a car that evokes a real passion for what we do. The enclosed GT6 is just such car and we're very happy to see that the magazine editor has made good use of the photography with a bold double page spread and lots of detail.
A great car and indeed we'd also like to say thanks to Tony Simpson who lovingly restored the car back to full concourse condition with little more than a garage next to his house and the tools in his shed. A wonderful car and a wonderful achievement. ...Read the full story here

Over the last month we have been working together with Vertis to create some photographic work that will be used by Vertis for their US client Audi. 2010 Mercedes Commercial Calendar Completed

A few months ago we were approached by Mercedes Benz to create a series of photography for their 2010 Commercial Parts calendar, the challenge was that this time rather than working with prestige saloon and sports cars we'd be shooting actual commercial vehicle parts. It was a close thing they said but we just missed out this year after coming 2nd in the Photographer of the Year Competition held recently at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London. Its still quite an achievement when you consider that over 150,000 images were entered for the competition and its a prize that Tim actually won 1st for Environmental work last year.

Aston Martin Charity Event announced with Royal Navy
07/06/09
We are very pleased to report that a wonderful charity event has been organised by the Aston Martin Owners Club and the Royal Naval Air Station at Yeovilton. The event over two days will feature amongst many activities high speed timed runs on the 8000ft main runway as well as live photography of the Aston's by Ambient Life photographer Tim Wallace with aircraft from the Naval Fleet Air Arm. Funds raised from the event will be going to such worthy causes as “Help for Heroes” and the Service benevolent funds for the Navy, Royal Marines and others. As the event also coincides with the Centenary year of the start of Naval Aviation, there will be, as an added attraction a series of memorable exhibits and displays to mark the occasion.

In 2008 Ambient Life photographer Tim Wallace was invited by Jaguar UK and Calumet to host a series of seminars based at the Jaguar main centre in Castle Bromwich. These Seminars proved to be a great success and were described by Calumet as being the most inspirational and with the highest positive feedback of any seminars and shows they had hosted through the year. As a result of this Tim has agreed to return to the main Jaguar centre again and conduct a special one off event with Jaguar this year aimed specifically at degree photographic students from UK colleges. This event will be coordinated through Calumet and will take place on the 21st November 2009.

During 2008 Ambient Life worked quite closely with precision camera manufacturer Hassleblad as they supported the industry first automotive seminars held by Tim Wallace with car giant Jaguar. American Ad Campaign is extended into 2009

During late 2008 Tim Wallace was commissioned to create some photography for US media and entertainment giant Kenwood. The campaign centred around some shots of a Bentley Continental that Tim used for the shoot with the new Kenwood Navigation System. The Kenwood advertising was seen across the US over 2008 and has been a huge success, so much so that rumours have been rife surrounding people cutting out the Bentley image to stick on their walls in a kind of cult wave of behavior.

Earlier this week we started a project with a new client to Ambient Life, Gateshead College. The college approached photographer Tim Wallace as they were looking for some fresh and inspirational photography for a project that is currently underway to display very large prints within the college campus and buildings featuring some of the fantastic achievements that the students had achieved recently. Each photograph will be printed and displayed to a size of 3m maximum so it was important to get imagery that was both dynamic and inspirational in its own way.

Vitesse Photography makes an impact

New Audi 2008 Model Presentation

We have recently spent a a day shooting the new Audi A4, 2008 face lift model. The car was launched in the UK in March and has turned heads with its striking looks and famous Xenon LED day time running lights as those found on the Audi R8.

Royal Photographic Society Display work by Tim Wallace

The Royal Photographic Society was founded in 1853 'to promote the Art and Science of Photography', a mission it continues to this day. In May 2008 Ambient Life Photographer Tim Wallace was awarded the distinction of 'Associate' of the Society (ARPS). Tim's work can now be found directly on the Royal Photographic Society's website where it is currently being displayed.

This month we saw a feature on car photography within Europe appear from the guys at Future Publishing. We're happy to say that one of Tim's Lotus images was chosen to elaborate on the styles and high impact of work within this field today and indeed the more contemporary way that such images are created.
