The Hype

09/10/09
As we see the on set of autumn and the leaves starting to fade it has come to that time of the year where photographer Tim Wallace is busy shooting for the 2010 Aston Calendar. This will be Tim's third Aston calendar following very successful editions in 2008 and 2009 that sold out and went to Aston Martin enthusiasts and owners a like all round the world.

Tim - "It's actually quite hard work to shoot a calendar, the pressure is most definitely on to produce 12 calendar pages that have that contemporary stylised feel of the work that I have become known for producing in this field, and yet offer the viewer something new. Over the past 2 years the focus has very much been on the car itself although I'm known for not shying away from involving the landscape environment to a degree. This year I've been working closely with the Art Director at Aston and we have recently had some quite early morning trips to scout possible locations for the shoots, it's hard at times to be creative and enthusiastic at 4am but in car photography that's something that I think you just get used to over time!. I'm confident that the 2010 calendar will be our best yet and there is certainly going to be quite an exciting flow to the photography that is different from our previous work. It's an exciting challenge and we are now two thirds through shooting with the over all proof of the finished calendar expected to be in its final stages by the end of October."
