It was a close thing they said but we just missed out this year after coming 2nd in the Photographer of the Year Competition held recently at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London. Its still quite an achievement when you consider that over 150,000 images were entered for the competition and its a prize that Tim actually won 1st for Environmental work last year.

The winners were announced this week during the exhibition at The Mall Galleries with the final selection being made by this years panel of judges which included Nick Galvin of Magnum and Kim Scott-Clark, Picture Editor for the Telegraph.
The photograph that Tim had selected is a personal piece of work Tim shot in black and white depicting a typical English Bank Holiday and it was awarded 2nd place in the 'This is Britain' category.
