"Vitesse"

Vitesse is a French word meaning "the speed at which something happens..."

Shooting started this week with our new supercar client 'Vitesse' The company run the most prestigious 'Supercar' club in the UK today with a select and infamous client list. Over the coming months Ambient Life photographer Tim Wallace will be working closely with the Vitesse management team to provide truly inspirational photography that reflects the beauty and form of their supercar fleet as well as working to assist in advertising and marketing imagery.

Tim-"Its great working with a client such as Vitesse as they have a real focus on their business, and totally understand the power of good quality photography. Their fleet of supercars is growing constantly and to date they have some of the most desirable, and quite literally, most beautiful cars available any where in the world today. The Ford GT is most probably seen as their signature car and I have to admit its a favorite of mine, its pedigree is really amazing not to mention its history.
Four decades ago, Ford produced a race car called the GT40 that ran away with the world-renowned 24 Hours of LeMans in 1966. GT40s won LeMans again the next three years. If you can't beat 'em, ban 'em. And that happened. In 2005 a lookalike-but-performs-better Ford supercar came into the market as the new Ford GT. It might just be the best supercar in the world, in my opinion..."

"A lot of people ask if I get to actually drive the cars I shoot, well I'm afraid to say the answer is yes providing time and conditions allow. I'm very lucky to have driven most of the best pieces of automotive machines ever invented and getting behind the wheel of some of these masterpieces can really give you a great insight into what they are all about. The Ford GT is no exception, when you climb, or rather fall into it, the first thing that strikes you is the pure beauty and minimalist layout of the switch gear. When you actually get round to starting that car using the engine start button its not hard to get the feeling that a thunder cloud just rumbled past through your rear view mirror. On the open road the car really comes alive although its width is something that most GT40 drivers take a few minutes to get to grips with, we are all aware of the low standing of the car, hence the original GT40 name indicating that the car is only 40 inches from roof to floor, however most people are not aware of just how wide the car is. Your driving along with a big smile on your face as close into the kerb as you dare and still can't understand why your running over the cats eyes...
Its a great car and just one of many that I'll be working with Vitesse to bring their business forward and further promote their growing success."
