Pool of Abandoned Souls

Photograph of one of the old abandoned chemical tanks near Hartlepool in the North East, an area once heavily populated with industry and ship building employing thousands of men now a forgotten waste ground. The plant was used to extract Magnesia from the sea and the pools that still exist have a almost luminous water colour due to the mixture remaining mixed with rain and sea water.
