The videos also look at working with just one light for those that wish to try out and experiment in this field but have limited equipment available as well as some dedicated photoshop retouching and digital processing classes. Tim is now a regular guest at Kelby and continues to build on the catalogue of training videos available through his dedicated area on the Kelby site where he is one of the 8 featured instructors in the World alongside some of the biggest names in the photography today such as Joe McNally and Jay Maisel. Behind the scenes during the US filming

All of the filming took place in Ybor near Tampa Florida at a location known as 'The Trolley Barn', a location made famous in its use during the filming of 'The Punisher' a few years ago. October in Florida is still pretty hot and during our first week the weather was indeed very humid with the whole team really feeling that heat inside the barn. Our choice of cars over the term of the shooting was a Ford Mustang V6, a Dodge Challenger, and a Cadillac CTS.

If you would like to watch how we worked with these cars and made the best use of our lighting then please join us online at Kelby Training where you can review and enjoy all 7 video classes, each of which is around 45 minutes to 1 hour in duration.

The Background to our events

Tim has being giving seminar talks and staging 'Pro live shoot events' for over 6 years now and since our first public seminar series held for UK prestige car manufacturer Jaguar, the demand for Tim's public speaking and 'Live shoot' events has grown. This sort of event had never been done before at this level within the car industry and was very much 'a industry first' at that time. The first event was held at Jaguars main headquarters at Castle Bromwich in their purpose built auditorium.

A great deal of planning and organisation from the supporting groups such as Hasselblad and Nikon went into the event and Calumet took on the logistics and promotion of the event. Following these first seminars we were delighted to receive 96% positive feedback from both Jaguar and the attendees on what has turned out to be a series of both car photography seminars for Jaguar and Land Rover each year with Morgan joining in 2010. Tim also gives a commercial based talks around the UK where he talks through the business based aspects as well as the
technical area's of his work. These events are organised alongside Calumet and during the last few years seminars that were held by photographer Tim Wallace received the highest positive feedback of any event that had been staged in that same year, a great accolade we feel to not Only Tim's passion for his work but also his ability to connect with his audience and deliver a more modern and inspired view on photography. Tim has also worked with Nikon both in and outside the UK, giving talks on stage for Nikon at the launch day of the UKs largest Photography event, FOCUS, as well as recently being invited to Denmark by Nikon to demonstrate the Nikon D4 on stage performing a live shoot at the Audi flagship design centre in front of an audience of over 160 people.

John Maries, Executive Director Jaguar
"I just wanted to say that I thought the event day was superb and your hard work and organisation really paid off. For me, the day flowed seamlessly along and enabled everyone to enjoy it. Thank you. Please send my thanks, also, to the vendors. The combination worked brilliantly. Even I enjoyed the chance to try out some exotic kit! The students will, I am sure, be talking about their day for some time. Thanks to you, they had a unique opportunity to work in a professional environment. I was especially pleased to see them engaging with the older cars.
As a sign of your success. I have to tell you the Finance Controller is still buzzing, this morning, and has five images on his wall, already! Favourite words from the day, "Leather! Who's photographing the leather?".

Chris Russel-Fish - Managing Director of Hasselblad
"I think the event is really great and its good to see people coming to grips with the different bodies available through Hasselblad, these are in effect our customers of the future. It was great to meet Tim, a down to earth bloke who made me laugh and connected to the audience really well"

The Morgan Special 1 Day Event

We stage unique events with our client Morgan at their factory set in the glorious Malvern Hills. Morgan is a an amazing story in itself and the cars that they produce are both exciting and unique in every way.

The one day events include a live shoot set up with photographer Tim Wallace along with full support from Hasselblad UK with the latest H4 Digital medium format cameras, also ProFoto lighting, and Epson were on hand to offer advice and assist throughout the course of the day.
The lucky few that manage to secure a tickets for these events are also invited to a lunch during the day as well as get a unique guided tour of the Morgan facility in its entirety. Further Morgan events are planned so keep your eyes open for details on this page throughout the year for dates and booking details.

Inspired UK Tour with Tim Wallace

Each year Tim delivers a UK tour of venues around the UK from London to Scotland and talks in depth about subjects such as work flow, commercial photography, business development, and how to improve your technique. The tour events are very soundly based on commercial photography in general and also take an in depth look at many aspects of the photography business.

These talks take a rare insight into the world of commercial photography through the eyes of a professional working in this environment both nationally and internationally, and offer people the chance to gain further knowledge in what it takes to become a success in a career that is notorious for its high failure rate.

Land Rover 2 Day Pro Live Shoot Events

Following the success his live shoot seminars with Jaguar Tim now conducts 'live' seminars with Land Rover at their main centre in Halewood, Liverpool and also the Land Rover site at Solihull in the West Midlands. These events follow a similar format but involve a 'live' shoot this time working outdoors in a purpose built areas located near the main centres. The shoots are split into separate area's to concentrate on the setup from scratch of a professional lighting arrangement for shooting a Land Rover on medium format digital Hasselblad equipment as well as 2 other area's for action based photography. The media sample below was put together after a 4 hour shoot on site at the location to promote the events with Calumet. Our new 'Go Beyond' events are now based on a more focused group event over 2 days rather than 1 to give those attending a very in depth and broad sample of this environment. Details and booking is available through Calumet.
